Eder Herrera successfully defended his doctoral thesis June 30, 2023, to become the first NOAA CESSRST-II Fellow to earn his PhD . Dr. Herrera is a Cohort I NOAA EPP funded graduate fellow of the Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technology (CESSRST-II). He is based at The City College of New York, and he will receive his degree from the Graduate Center, CUNY, in Earth & Environmental Science.
