As the summer ends, CESSRST-II congratulates six master’s fellows who graduated with a shared commitment to turning knowledge into meaningful impact. Their goals range from designing sustainable infrastructure and advancing renewable energy to shaping equitable education policy, improving public health access, developing ethical artificial intelligence, and launching socially responsible enterprises. The graduates this year include:
- Ileana Morales (Cohort 1, MA , UTEP)
- Gerardo Trossi-Torres (Cohort 1, MS, UPRM)
- Elena Aguilar (Cohort 1, MS, SDSU)
- Jake Longenecker (Cohort 1, MS, CUNY)
- Stephanie Marquez (Cohort 1, MS, UTEP)
- Selenea Gibson (Cohort 1, MS, UMBC)
Alongside them, one PhD graduate in Electrical Engineering, Dr. Eder Herrera from Cohort 1 completed years of dedicated research and now aims to bridge theory and practice. Dr. Herrera will join the City College of New York as a Research Associate.
Together, the seven graduates move forward with clear objectives: to lead with integrity, contribute lasting solutions, and create positive change beyond personal achievement.
