Nadia was a CESSRST Fellow at the City College of the City University of New York in Cohort 3. She received her master’s degree in Sustainability in the Urban Environment. Her research is on Monitoring the New York City Living Shorelines, through Ecosystem and Community-based Assessment. Living Shorelines are valuable nature-based ecosystems as they help serve as natural barriers to flooding and storms, and protect coastal communities from extreme weather events. This research helps NOAA meet its mission to conserve and manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources.
