Drake is a NOAA EPP Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Scholar at San Diego State University, pursuing a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science. My area of focus is in remote sensing applications and GIS. My research centers on analyzing land surface temperatures and understanding how heat stress varies spatially in the Imperial Valley, utilizing data from Landsat, ECOSTRESS, and UAVs. This research aligns strongly with NOAA’s mission to monitor climate impacts and safeguard human and environmental health by providing critical data on heat stress in vulnerable communities.
