CUNY Urban hydro-metereological testbed (uHMT) is a set of weather stations across the NYC metropolitan area. It collects various meteorological datasets such as temperature, rainfall raties etc. These are used to determine the role played by soil moisture deficit between the urban and surrounding rural areas, in exacerbating urban air temperature and how does it impact the microclimate of the cities, local and regional climate.
